Due to our clients' requirements and project timeframes, only candidates with the legal right to work in New Zealand will be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating architectural aluminium joinery, including measuring, cutting, preparing glazing, and assembling aluminium windows, doors, and framing systems.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and job sheets to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Operating fabrication equipment and machinery, including drills, cut-off saws, band saws, routers, and punches, safely and efficiently.
- Producing-quality while meeting production schedules and efficiency targets.
- Preparing completed products for dispatch, including cleaning, checking, and packaging for delivery.
- Loading and unloading materials and finished products safely, including assisting with truck loading and unloading.
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming materials and supplies.
- Operating forklift safely (where licensed and authorised).
- Supporting on-site maintenance and installation work when required.
- Maintaining clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
- Working closely within the team and demonstrating a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 year's experience in aluminium fabrication or architectural aluminium joinery.
- Proven experience measuring, cutting, fabricating, and assembling aluminium joinery.
- Competent using fabrication machinery, including drills, cut-off saws, band saws, routers, and punches.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication schedules.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with a positive customer service attitude.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling and lifting.
- Current forklift licence and Full New Zealand Driver Licence is required.
- Ability to drive a manual vehicle is an advantage.
